People who are from here can’t drive in our own special way
, people from out of state can’t drive in their own way, people from across the sea can’t drive in their own way
. We have combined all three heavily in the last six years and what you get is a total shit-show. Then add drugs and cell phones.

I suspect the recent privatization of driver testing doesn’t help either. Wouldn’t surprise me if there’s pay to play going on in this arena, too.

yep - missed that big roll over S bound 405 in Bellevue last week by about a minute and a half, (ended up cutting through Bellevue on surface streets to get around it.) People were driving like doody this morning - 40% on their phones, 20% normal, 40% speeding and tailgating the other 60%. Had a lady on her phone wander over and bounce off the right hand jersey barrier on E bound I-90 bridge in front of me yesterday - just kept on going (but her fancy newer Acura MDX must have a bad scrape all along the right side..)

My wife spends more time on the road than I do, and she’s witnessed two major accidents in the past week. She sees people spin off in the snow all the time, but not usually major accidents, and not two in a week.

There are always more crashes in the fall. All of the leaves fall off of the trees, and then it rains, and they are super slippy, and people crash as a result.

Call me a turncoat, but I use the toll lanes all day every day. Worth every cent. Still a total scam, definitely designed to make traffic worse such as to compel you pay out the butt to drive at near-acceptable speeds;
but get me away from the morons, and get me
there quickly, PLEASE.
